Finding Balance in Your Relationships

We often hear about the importance of balance in life – work and play, giving and receiving. But what about the balance in our closest relationships? Think of it like the ancient concept of Yin and Yang, two seemingly opposing yet interconnected forces that create harmony when they flow together. When this balance is disrupted between partners, it can manifest in subtle – and sometimes not-so-subtle – ways.

So, how can you tell if the Yin and Yang are a little out of sync in your relationship?

Let's consider these points:

1. The Uneven Playing Field

Have you found yourself in a situation where your partner is the sole provider, the driving force behind your success, while you feel financially or professionally dependent? Or perhaps the roles are reversed. While supporting each other is crucial, an extreme imbalance in areas like finances or career can create a dynamic that stifles individual growth and breeds resentment. When one person consistently carries the weight of external success, the other might feel diminished, leading to an unhealthy dependence rather than a supportive partnership.

2. Intimacy Without Fulfillment

You might have a partner, and perhaps even regular physical intimacy, but still feel a deep sense of loneliness or emotional disconnect. This could be a sign of an imbalance in the emotional and physical aspects of your relationship. One person might be prioritizing the physical without nurturing the emotional bond, or vice versa. True intimacy encompasses vulnerability, shared experiences, and a feeling of being truly seen and understood. When this balance is off, the relationship can feel hollow.

3. External Success, Internal Struggle

Maybe you have the dream job, financial security, and all the trappings of success, yet feeling a persistent unease within your partnership. This could indicate an imbalance in how you and your partner connect on a fundamental level. Perhaps your values don't align, your communication is strained, or there's a lack of mutual respect and understanding. External achievements can't compensate for a disconnect at the heart of the relationship.

The Power of Balance

When two people consciously work towards balancing their Yin and Yang it's life changing. It's not about being perfectly equal in every aspect at every moment, but rather about a dynamic interplay of support, understanding, and mutual respect. When this balance exists, the relationship becomes a source of strength, growth, and fulfillment for both individuals. It's a partnership where both people feel empowered, cherished, and truly connected.

Have you ever felt that your physical mother has not taught you the ways of life? Have you ever felt like no one is protecting you? I was feeling just that a little over an hour ago when the idea from my friend kicked me into believing, I am not alone. My Divine Mother, who is your Mother and everyone's Mother, is watching over all of us. She inspired me and my friend to write this blog. It is because of Her, we are here. Creation and destruction both play in her lap. Divine Mother is giving you the first sign you need not to feel banished or abandoned. The higher transformation awaits us all. The only question is, will you hold her finger and walk with her? Even for just a few steps? You have the opportunity tonight to sit in one of the cardinal directions: North, East, South, West and recite the  Mahaavidyaas  10 times. Face East if you want vitality and respect in your life. Face North if you want peace and guidance in your life. Face South if there are obstructions an...

Understanding the Roots of Negativity

The weight of negativity is such that it more than affects our moods for a moment in the day or just for a day. As we all know powerful moods can even be carried with us for a week or more. The implications of what that can look like or how it can be held in the body varies.  Negativity--A Hidden Weight  Chronic negativity can trigger stress responses in the body, which, over time, may contribute to physical discomfort and vulnerability. Varies to such a high degree that for some it becomes debilitating physically--impeding mobility, affecting the body in ways that manifest as heart conditions, immunity conditions, etc with no explanations that make sense to medical professionals. If you are unaware of what negativity is doing to your physical well-being and neglect to realize just how real these effects are you will find yourself stuck, retreating from society and only becoming worse.  Sarah's Story This has been the case with a recent client who has been struggli...
